Married, Honeymooned, back to work!
From the feedback so far everybody liked our wedding! The barbecue was very tasty, the train passing by at the very start of the ceremony was oh-so-quaint, and the facilities (for rehearsal and ceremony/reception) were marvelous!
We still have not identified the mystery gift givers of the wine goblets. But we are very thankful to each and every person who showed up!
We have our rings (of course!) and I will get some pics of them up on this site soon, but I’m pretty busy with work and work (that would be the day job, and the freelance work after work). As most of you know I work in the Interactive Department at Emmis Radio Indianapolis with a small team of elite Internet Ninjas. Upon returning from our honeymoon in the backwoods (over 1,000 pictures!) I find out that the first Elite Ninja (that would be Matt) got a new job as a General Manager of his very own radio station! So now we’re swamped as we’re down a Ninja and we are going through the arduous and exacting process of training an up and coming Internet Ninja.
So I went ahead and started a few more freelance jobs just for the heck of it!
Us
Rachel and I live in Indianapolis, Indiana in the Broad Ripple neighborhood. We’ve been living here together for over 2 years. We live with a dog named Stevie, cat named Charlie, and a fish named Punkin (the mispelling is intentional because thats how Rachel pronounces it).
Read links to the right about our first date from both of our perspectives and about our pets too if you’re into that kind of thing.
Rachel is a teacher specializing in Technology Education, Science, and Differentiated Instruction. I am a Web Designer/Developer for Emmis Communications (this site is an example of my work).
Rachel wants to have three babies. She had their names, genders, and hair colors decided before I even met her. Palm readers always tell me I will have three children, so I guess my hand wrinkles right.
My personal website is located at onethirtyseven.com. There is an interesting story to why that is my personal website, but in short my favorite number is 137. You can find out why here. Rachel happens to have been born at 1:37 a.m. Coincidence? You decide, but while you’re doing that, we’re going to go ahead and get married anyway.
We are registered at the following places:
• Crate & Barrel
• Bed Bath & Beyond
• Sears
